Join this programme to gain insights into Surgical Site Complication (SSC) Prevention and the use of sNPWT (Single-Use Negative Pressure Wound Therapy) from leading experts in cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedic surgery, and plastic surgery.
Scientists and clinicians will come together to debunk common myths and misconceptions providing clarity and evidence-based perspectives about sNPWT.
Engage in discussions, participate in Q&A sessions, and exchange ideas with peers and experts about implementation of surgical bundles and SSC prevention.
Pre-requisites
- Participants should have at least 5 years of operating experience in cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, or plastic surgery.
- Participants should be actively looking to transform how SSCs are prevented, in partnership with their institution.
- Experienced HCPs interested in learning about the value of SSC prevention utilizing sNPWT.
- Fluency in English is required.
What you will learn
- Identify and recall key principals and strategies for the prevention of Surgical Site. Complications (SSC) in various surgical fields including cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, and plastic surgery.
- Participants will demonstrate an understanding of myths and misconceptions surrounding negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) and articulate the evidence-based practices in its application.
- Identify opportunities and barriers in implementation of SSC risk-stratified pathways from sharing of real-world evidence and case discussions.
- Discuss surgical site surveillance in your practice and identify how to initiate quality improvement measures to reduce surgical site complications
