Module: Indications and clinical applications for Bi-Cruciate Retaining (BCR) Knee Arthroplasty

Introduction

In this module, learners will understand anatomical considerations, patient selection criteria and indications experts would consider for a Bi-Cruciate Retaining Total Knee Arthroplasty (BCR TKA) in daily practice, and the cases related to the use of JOURNEY^◊ II XR.

This training relates to the JOURNEYII XR prosthetic system, but alternative devices are available.

It is the responsibility of physicians to determine and utilize the appropriate products and techniques, according to their own clinical judgment, for each of their individual patients. For more

Pre-requisites

A good understanding of the basic principles of Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) and on JOURNEYII total knee system, design rationale and philosophy, is recommended as well as a surgical experience in knee arthroplasty in general.

Recommend the use of Bi-Cruciate Retaining (BCR) Knee Arthroplasty for the right patients in the right case
Review the indications for using JOURNEYII XR in knee arthroplasty
Summarize how the rehabilitation protocols evolve when using JOURNEY II XR
