Overview
Introduction
This webinar will explore how the latest randomised control trial data can be applied towards shoulder repair injuries. Faculty will discuss standard of care in full and partial thickness rotator cuff tears as well as their experience in adopting and implementing the latest technologies into their practice. Participants will learn through didactic lecture and faculty-led case discussion.
Pre-requisites
Intended for orthopaedic surgeons or physical therapists with a strong interest and experience in shoulder repair, with a desire to develop understanding of how biologic augmentation can help improve patient outcomes.
What you will learn
- Evaluate the most recent clinical evidence pertaining to the utilisation of biologic augmentation in shoulder repair procedures
- Recognise the indications for applying new technologies in rotator cuff repair surgery
- Identify techniques for individual patients in rotator cuff repair surgery by integrating optimal treatment algorithms

 | Mr Ali Narvani United Kingdom Mr Narvani is a consultant trauma + orthopaedic surgeon, specialising exclusively in shoulder and elbow surgery. Mr Narvani has a wealth of specialist training and expertise in treating a range of shoulder and elbow conditions and injuries. His specialist interests include; open and arthroscopic shoulder procedures involving tendon repair, stabilisations and trauma. |

 | Dr Miguel Ruiz Ibán, MD, PhD SpainDr Miguel A. Ruiz Ibán is currently the Head of the Shoulder and Elbow Unit in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology in Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal, in Madrid, Spain. He received his medical degree in Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and completed the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Programme at the Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal. He completed his PhD, focused in the biomechanics of the lower lumbar spine and pelvis, at the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, Madrid. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Management of Specialist Care Units at the European Institute of Health and Social Wellbeing. He is an active ESSKA member since 2010. Dr Ruiz Ibán has lectured extensively at national and international meetings. He has authored numerous books, chapters and abstracts. He has published more than 50 papers in indexed, international peer reviewed journals, including Arthroscopy, American Journal of Sports Medicine, KSSTA, Clinical Drug Investigation, Orthopedics and others. |

 | Professor Ettore Taverna Switzerland Dr Ettore Taverna directs the Shoulder Surgery Unit at the IRCCS Galeazzi – Sant'Ambrogio Hospital. In addition, he is an adjunct professor for the School of Specialization in Orthopedic Surgery and for the School of Specialization in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at the University of Milan. At the Casa di Cura La Madonnina, Prof. Taverna practices his clinical
